Apprentice ski lift mechanic

YOUR MISSION : BECOME THE FUTURE EXPERT IN SKI LIFTS… SO THAT EVERY RIDE IS A MEMORABLE ONE!
As an apprentice ski lift mechanic, you will participate in the maintenance, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of the facilities under the supervision of experienced mechanics. Thanks to your commitment, curiosity, and attention to detail, you will contribute to the optimal functioning of the lifts and the safety of all. You will play a direct role in making every visit to the mountains a memorable experience.
 

YOUR MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Reporting to the team leader – ski lift maintenance, the apprentice mechanic is responsible for:

  • Monitoring and performing daily maintenance on ski lifts;
  • Assessing repairs or maintenance to be performed and implementing the necessary corrective measures;
  • Filling out certain daily reports;
  • Check and prepare the lifts to ensure efficient and safe operation;
  • Follow established procedures to maintain operations, taking into account various factors;
  • Communicate any issues to their supervisor while demonstrating initiative in resolving routine and emergency situations;
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by their immediate supervisor that are necessary for the smooth operation of the company.

Requirements, skills
and qualifications

  • Working in variable temperatures
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma (asset)
  • Demonstrate independence and resourcefulness
  • Keen sense of health and safety
  • Able to work at heights (towers and pylons)
  • Hold an apprentice card (as an asset)
  • Interest in electromechanics and hydraulics
