New Little Owls

If you have a youngster just starting out on his or her skiing career, the New Little Owls program is perfect for you.

Next season, this program will take the form of a workshop for the first few weekends. This will allow instructors to have private glide and balance sessions with one child at a time while the rest of the group works on glide, mobility and equipment familiarization in the workshop.

Once the children are ready for small-group instruction, the group will be split into groups of two and assigned an instructor, who will stay with the children for the rest of the program.

Little Owls

Gliding lessons in a safe, fun environment with a small group of children of varying skill levels.

New for the 2024-25 season : we’ve chosen to form groups of 2 children to ensure a safe environment and a good progression towards the green runs.

Pre-competition

A course for youngsters determined to develop their technique in order to try their luck at ski club selections. The ski school works with the ski club to establish objectives and specific exercises used by the ski club. This gives the youngsters the best chance of being accepted into the ski club.

Our team of instructors is growing!

If your youngster will be 16 or over when the programs start on January 11 and would like to continue his or her development as a skier/boarder, we invite you to contact the ski school.

We have other possible avenues, such as becoming an instructor. As a student, your youngster has progressed to become an advanced skier/boarder, but as an instructor he/she will be able to progress even further by sharing their passion for board sports.

In addition to the many benefits of being a Destination Owl’s Head employee, as an instructor he/she will have access to training offered by members of our team certified by the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance (CSIA) or the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI).
